Nothing really bad happened. Just really annoying: financial aid.

Last year they fucked me over and didn't increase my package cause they had "financial problems". So this year, I was theortically entitle to get about $35,000 from them. But, apparently they didn't care. Nor did they care that my dad has been layed off from work for 11 out of the last 18 months, and during the 7 he did work, he took a $20,000 pay cut from his other job. My mom only found a job and went back to work in January making about half my dad's new salary. And, my brother is going to Northeastern this fall, another $40,000 a year school. But I guess WPI doesn't care about any of that, and didn't increase my package a penny. Not even in loans. Infact, it was less cause last year I got another measely $600 for Australia. So, over all there's about $20,000 missing from my package.

So as you can see, I was a little PO-ed about that. But, with the outside scholarships my brother got, plus money from my grandparents (that I used my freshman and sophomore year), my parents won't really have to pay much if anything for my brother this year, so they will be able to help me out more. So, my mom is convinced everything will work out, assuming my dad finds a job fairly soon after he finishes the class he's taking right now. Blah.

So, WPI sucks at life.

Financial aid in all schools sucks

They're dumb and don't care. And add Bush into the mix to take away federal grants and it sucks even more. But I can't be mad anymore because I'm used to it. I've never gotten more than like 5,000 from them. All the rest is in loans they give me and loans I have to get myself. It's gonna be a blast when I'm 100,000 in debt from school alone. But everyone deals with it, it's a fact of life for anyone who's not rich.
